I started Wags & Whiskers in 2022 after health complications encouraged a career change out of emergency medicine (for humans).  I wanted to use my background in the medical field to support special needs and medically fragile animals that other pet care providers may not have the capacity for. Our own 13 YO chocolate lab Loki, who used a wheelchair, inspired this thought. While the majority of our pack is able bodied, I feel as though my background creates an added layer of protection to be advocate for pet's wellbeing.

As the business grows (quickly) I have been blessed to be able to hire some of my closest friends, including my mom Sandy (ultimate bestie status) as well as my childhood best friend Jessie, and Brandi as our bookkeeper extraordinaire. We have a team of about 20 pet lovers!

We believe in the idea that our local pet care community should be a united front to advocate and protect the homes, pets and families of our neighbors. We have close connections with many local sitters, trainers, rescues and veterinarians.

While I didn't imagine my career to include so much dog hair and drool, I truly believe I have the best job ever and I am forever thankful and feel so lucky.
